Do you Moto?

Dress: Forever 21 $24 2010?
Cuff: Torrid: free with bday offer (was $5)
Shoes: Bandolino $10

I bought this dress so long ago, but of course this is the first time it's seen the outside my closet. Part of the reason I wait so long is because my clearance buys are usually at the end of the season. When I take it home, my purchases are usually in limbo while I decide for sure if I want to keep it and/or wait to see if I find a better deal within the return period.
I'm just so indecisive at times!

Do you wear your clothing as soon as you buy it?

Rain, Rain go away...

Shirt: H&M $3
Leggings: DSW $5
Sweater: Old Navy 2010
Boots: Charlotte Russe $10

I used to have some black and white polka dot rain boots and I wish I was blogging back then so I would have a picture of them. I had to throw them out because they got a hole in them so I'm hoping I'll have better luck with these boots. I love the bright yellow! They make those gloomy rainy days so much better! And they are very Hunter wellies without the price tag!

I was featured for wear*it wednesday: rainboots. Check out the others...

Double Stripes

Sweater: Express, really old
Shirt: H&M $3
Pants: Ross

This outfit is exactly what I love about fashion blogging. It started off as inspiration from a Pinterest post and then I shopped my closet to find a way to recreate the double stripes. I haven't worn this sweater in, maybe, a couple of years, but now it's been resurrected! It's just fun to get creative with my old clothes and document the outfits that I wear.

Since most of you also have your own blogs, why do you blog?

Thanksgiving Outfit

Dress: TJMaxx, old school
Necklace: Kohls
Bracelets: ?
Boots: Mervyns

My actual Thanksgiving outfit was comfy and inspired by fall colors again. My update to this dress this year is my statement necklace. I really should remember to do more close-up, detailed shots. I think I was probably the most dressed up at the fam party, but any excuse to dress up is good for me!

Green & Fashionable

Shirt: GAP, old
Sweater: Target <$3 with coupon
Necklace: Kohls
Belt: Old Navy $1
Tweed Skirt: Loft, really old
Shoes: Ross $20, 2010

We celebrated Thanksgiving at work this day, so I was inspired by fall colors. The best thing about this blog is bringing out my old clothes..I haven't worn this tweed skirt in so long and those cute shoes..it might be a year! I've been carpooling with mr. shopfreak recently so on those days, I stay in the office all day and can wear my high heels.
Carpooling= green and fashionable!

Do you have something in your closet that needs to get out more?

Feelin Navajo

Dress: Target, pretty old
Scarf: Rue 21
Belt: Old Navy
Bracelets: ?
Ring: Claires $1
Purse: Michael Kors, gifted from mr. shopfreak

I'm all about tribal and ethnic prints so of course I'm loving the Navajo trend right now. I even wore some boho braids to get into the vibe. This scarf was the perfect update to this sweater dress that I wear a lot with brown accessories. It's one of those comfy, easy work outfits that now has that little excitement for me. I even wore it on the weekend and saw Breaking Dawn finally! I probably should have watched Eclipse again before,
because I forgot some little details of the storyline.

Are you a Twilight fan? What did you think?

Added plus: I just realized that I theme-dressed since Twilight does have a lot of
Native American references :)

One of my Faves

Dress: Rachel Rachel Roy via Macy's $15
Shoes: Bandolino via Marshalls $10
Bracelet: Charlotte Russe

My Macy's has a rack just for all the clothing that isn't usually carried in that store. It's my first stop whenever I visit because of this dress. Thank you to the Rachel Roy lover who kept returning dresses in my size! I got this dress and two more black dresses for $15 each. Since then, I haven't found deals as good as these, but it's still worth a look. Wait, now that I think of it, I don't remember seeing my favorite rack the last time I was there.
Hmmm, hope it's not gone. :(

Do you have a secret stash where you find your bargains?

Easy Button

Necklace: c/o LA NY Couture

Wake up, put on black and white, add turquoise statement necklace, DONE!

So I have too many turquoise necklaces hanging in my closet right now. You really only need one, but I keep finding ones that I like. I saw a similar necklace in white and pinned it to my pinterest board, but I totally scored when I found this version!
The turquoise is 1000% better ;)  and it gives me a chance to venture
 into turquoise-ish eye shadow.
I also love that it's paired with gold and is so bold that I
received sooo many compliments from strangers as I went about my day.

Do you have outfit-making accessories in your closet?
(This post is on pinterest!)

LA NY Couture provided this necklace to me, but all opinions are my own.
Now go get yourself one so we can be twins!

So Minty

Dress; gift from in-laws
Sweater: NY & Co

I'm a dark chocolate/ mint lover so we have an endless supply of wanna-be thin mints just waiting to move its way to the freezer. This time of year, I'm in heaven with all the peppermint mocha stuff in the stores. I found air freshener spray, a candle, and I just discovered that Ghirardelli has a dark chocolate version of their peppermint bark! I think I'm overdosing on $1 McDonalds peppermint mochas & Coffeemate creamer, especially
because it's a limited edition, seasonal item.

Open to Interpretation: Nautical

Sweater: Macy's, old school
Shirt: H & M $3
Skirt: American Apparel $6
Boots: Mervyns, ancient history
Purse: Michael Kors, gifted from mr. shopfreak

I wore this outfit, just to take part in Freckles in April "Open to Interpretation" challenge.

Here's the inspiration photo:

I wish this outfit was already laundered so I could rewear it and bring the outfit up a notch. I'll be sure to repost again when I get a chance to wear my intended outfit. Maybe next time I can force myself to take pictures early enough so that the sun is out.  How much does the picture quality affect your decision to  return to fashion blogs? I have to admit, I tend to be a little snobby in this respect.  Not that you can tell from my choice of pictures though :)

Small Investments

Scarf: c/o ShopLately  ($14.95)
Shirt: Old Navy
Leggings: ?
Boots: Mervyns, really old
Purse: Michael Kors, gift from mr. shopfreak

I love this scarf, mostly because all the colors brighten up any winter day. What's not to love: its supersoft and has lovely pattern mixing with stripes and paisley. My outfit is ho-hum and comfortable for a long car ride to visit family, but when you add the scarf..it totally brings it up a notch :) Don't you love when small investments like this can update what
you already have in your closet?

P.S. This is linked to my referral site. ShopLately did provide this scarf, but all opinions are my own.
