I wore this dress for Valentine's Day this year, but didn't get to take a pic. It's crazy how different clothing looks on the hanger compared to when you are wearing it. I really like this print when I see it on the hanger, but I'm not loving it as much in this picture. Maybe it's this side of the dress that doesn't look as pretty. Oh well, I still love the shape of the dress.
This time around, I wore my new flats which are perfect for work.
They are comfortable but dressy enough to wear with work wear. So happy to have found shoes to take the place of black sandals that I had to get rid of earlier this year.
Shoes: Franco Sarto via DSW, $7 with $10 freebie via email
Earrings: Stella & Dot Serenity, email me to order :)
DSW and Sears are really good to their rewards members. Every so often, DSW will email me a coupon for $10 off any purchase and when paired with a clearance find, I'll go home with something cute and inexpensive like these Franco Sarto shoes for $7!
Sears has been sending me weekly $4 off emails that I've been using towards tanktops for $1-$2 after the discount. It's marketing genius!
I bought this shirt to wear with my big green Baublebar necklace, but it didn't quite work.
I love the Fiona necklace with it though and the pop of yellow in the belt.
This shirt was really inexpensive which was the best way to try out the peplum trend. I like the look, but I don't like the having an elasticized middle. I felt like I was continually pulling the shirt down and having to readjust all the time is not my idea of a successful outfit.
I should have known because I have a dropped waist peasant shirt that has the same type
of gathering and that too, is a pain to wear. Hopefully, I'll remember this before I buy something else I find on super clearance.
I'm really into finding special ethnic details in clothing and this shirt from Arden B is exactly the type of piece that I want to add to my closet. Since the shirt is so plain around the neckline, it needed something extra and my ShopLately necklace was perfect. This is why I love statement necklaces, it was THE finishing touch that the outfit needed.
