Minted Love

This past month, 3 of my cousins have been blessed with healthy babies so I'm excited for my first visits with them. Since 2 of the 3 live far away, I'll just anxiously await their birth announcements. I love how everyone sends out photo cards, not only for the cute pictures, but because I'm also so interested in design. Check out these
birth announcements that I found on Minted

Loving the cute nest and metallic foil accents on this one.

The scrapbooker in me is all for this die-cut border.

For my fellow bloggers: these personalized journals would help keep you organized
about future post and outfit ideas:

One photo: perfect for your signature outfit and blog name.

Or this, if you have too many to choose from! (very Instagram-inspired as well).

Since Minted helps showcase the work of independent designers,
I also support their 'design for all' concept.  This post is a little break from my normal fashion post, but I love creativity in any form.
I'm all about finding inspiration wherever you can, that's why I'm a Pinterest-addict, too!

On Loan

Plaid Shirt: Land's End, free with Swagbucks rewards
Sweater: Macy's, old
Purse: Target
Leggings
Boots: on loan from my SIL

So glad mr. shopfreak raided his parent's house over the holidays to grab us some snow boots. These ones are on loan from my sister-in-law and I love the rugged quality. I wore them all weekend in Tahoe and might just have to snatch them out of storage to wear a couple more times this winter.

More Pink Please!

Cardi: Old Navy $9
Shirt: JCPenney, old
Purse: Target
Shoes: Mervyns (therefore: ancient)
Fleece leggings: Kris & Kate, via giveaway
(save 20% with code: shopfreak20. Excludes SWSW tees. Expires Sunday, 1/26/14)

When I saw this cardi, I had to get it because of the candy pink shade. I love pink and I don't wear it enough so I'm thinking this will be a good addition to my wardrobe.
I'm loving this outfit with the polka dots purse too.

Target Lover

Cardigan: Target $5
Shirt: Target $3 with coupon
Belt: Marshalls $1
Jeans: Forever 21 $14
Boots: Target $6

With all these Target coupons, I'm finding that I'm buying more and more clothing from there. The clothing is usually simple basics so it's been good for building up my winter wardrobe, but I probably need to start using the coupons for my gift stash.
I just found out I bought two teal t-shirts recently!
I really should only buy, to up my fashion game!

(just found this post that I never scheduled)

Falling in Southwest

Shirt: TJ Maxx $3,
Skirt: American Apparel $6
Shoes: Sears, $6
Necklace: Stella & Dot

I bought this shirt because of the color, pattern and price, but mostly because it had a unique semi-open cut-out back. I knew for sure I'd wear it with a tank because it's also sheer, but I figured out later that the cut-outs weren't hanging right. Maybe this was the reason why it was on clearance. To make it wearable, I had to sew the cut-outs back together so it's lost its unique quality in that respect, but it still looks so good with my Aurora necklace. Still a win!
