Gold Shoulder

Sweater: Burlington Coat Factory, $20
Leggings
Boots: Forever 21, $10

Every year, I feel like I'm always in need of sweaters. I bought this one early in the season because I'm still loving olive green. The detailed shoulders is what sealed the deal. It makes it unique and adds to the military vibe. They're almost epaulets.

Winter Ball Dressv Gowns

In the market for a dress for a winter ball or holiday party? Here are some options to review:

A red 3/4 sleeve lace sheath would be pretty for a work party because of its modesty. Add in a statement necklace, a simple white clutch, skin-tones pumps and a wool black dressy coat and you're ready to go.

A pretty white dress like this has a bohemian feel and could work well for multiple occasions. I'd add some sparkly post earrings to keep the focus on the neck detail, a bold rhinestone bangle and some strappy heels. This would also work for a beach marriage renewal ceremony, barefoot with a crown of white flowers. Or the crown of flowers, flowing curls and a forest wedding.

I love the illusion of a small waist on this dress. The lace is so delicate and pretty, an up-do would be a must so that the lace detail wouldn't be covered up. It's also an alternative to typical holiday colors of red and green.

You can't go wrong with sparkly for the holidays or New Year's Eve! Love the straps in the back, again, this dress needs your hair to be up. I would keep it monochromatic with neutral strappy heels and sparkly jewelry.

Can I make up an event to wear this dress to? I love the full ball gown skirt.

Green is perfect for holiday parties and the pretty lace peplum detail
makes this dress stand out.

The neckline gives this a vintage feel and eliminates the need for a necklace or a bracelet. I'd wear simple small earrings to keep the focus on the dress.

Winter Boot Picks from Tidestore

Since winter is in full swing and I'm starting to have to plan for colder weather, I thought I'd focus on boots. I used to be all about tall, heeled boots to wear with skirts, but now I like short, flat boots the best. Check out my picks for boots to add to your winter wardrobe. Let's start with some basic short, flat boots that I'm loving from Tidestore:

Just add a warm scarf and a cute motorcycle jacket
and you're good to go.

Thanksgiving & Cyber Monday favorites from Tidestore

It's been a while since I've done a product feature post. I've been busy with work and family obligations so I haven't done too much with my blog lately. It's always fun to hear from new companies who would like to collaborate so keep a look out for some extra blog posts coming up. Thanks for continuing to stop by!

Since Thanksgiving is just around the corner, I thought I'd focus on picking some outfit choices for the upcoming Thanksgiving festivities:

Loving the color on the coat, it's bright and orange and so very fall.
I like the length and simplicity as well.

I'm still into plaid this winter and these bright autumn colors are
perfect in this blanket scarf style.

How cute is this khaki coat with the faux fur!
Loving the shape with the nipped-in waist.

Still loving this bow purse after all these years. You can't go wrong with a bow :)

Love the cute little heart on this cross body purse! I'm so into cross body purses these days, because I like to have my hands free. The smaller size also makes sure that I'm not weighing down my purse. I once won a contest for the heaviest purse at a party and while I like all the space to be able to be prepared for any situation with a big mom purse, I don't like all the pounds I'm carrying around on my shoulder.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you've found some outfit inspiration :)
Enjoy your Thanksgiving with family and friends.

Ok, loving both the sweater and shoes because they were both such a deal! I'm so into cute flat sandals. I have worn the same sandals in my outfit posts too much so I'm glad I can diversify.

Tribal Yellow

Shirt: PacSun
Skirt: Forever 21
Necklace: Kohls
Shoes: Sears

Scarf: 2 ways

Necklace: Fallas $1
Tank: ?
Skirt: American Apparel $6

I've seen a few outfits and a video of this idea of wearing a scarf like a vest, but it wasn't until I saw a store display that I wanted to try it out for myself. I asked a store associate for a reminder tutorial and had to try it when I received this watercolor scarf
from Bangles of Bombay. I love the multicolor print and how light and airy this scarf is so I can wear it year-round. It's big enough that I'll be able to use it as a sarong and more traditionally as a neck scarf in other seasons. I have to say that I like this look the best and will have to try it with other scarves in the future.

Scarf as Headband: Purple Indian Silk Scarf $25 c/o Bangles of Bombay
Dress: Loft, $5 old

With the Indian Silk Scarf, I went for another untraditional look by using it as a head scarf. Since it is silk, it is so soft and could be tightened easily around my head.
The purple is so pretty and went well with my bracelets. Thank you Bangles of Bombay!

Here's the bangles I wore with the Watercolor Scarf:

(I received complimentary product from
but all opinions are my own.
