Neo Tribal

Skirt: c/o Persunmall $15
Shirt: Coldwater Creek
Necklace: Walmart
Shoes: Burlington Coat Factory

I'm loving this bright colorful tribal print. I saw somewhere that the trend is called "neo tribal" so when I found this skirt, I had to have it. The skirt is a little shorter than I would like and since it was bought online,  a little tight on the waistband, so I would size up, for sure.

Sweet Sailing

Shirt: Johnny B (Boden)
Skirt: Forever 21, old
Shoes: Payless

Loving the nautical feel of this outfit, there's even a sweet little bow in the middle of the shirt too. I took a walk with my coworker in this outfit and ended up with a bloody mess on the back of my ankle. I'm bummed that I can only wear these flats when I'm just in the office. I really don't want to have to take walking shoes with me to work, but I might just have to,  since my spring work outfits usually involve a skirt. I just picked up some simple champagne sparkly shoes that I might have to carry around in my work bag too.  They were on super clearance and I've been debating if I really need them,
but now I think I've found the perfect use!

Found: Chambray Top

Chambray top: JCPenney $7
Necklace: Opaque Lion $17 (@ ShopLately)
Shoes: Mervyns, ancient

I've finally found a chambray shirt! I took two of the same shirt home in different sizes and forgot that I should have just taken pics on my phone so I could decide there. I love how versatile this shirt is and should have bought one a long time ago.

My leopard leggings were a little too much for mr.shopfreak, but I really like the silky material and the waistband is snug without being too tight. Animal print is playing a recurring role in my wardrobe so these leggings will be a good layering piece.
Plus they are only $5!

The winner of the A'muse Me Boutique earrings is: Holly Edwards!
The winner of the $50 gift card is: Christy DuBois!
I have emailed both winners and will give you 48 hours to respond before choosing new winners. Congratulations!

Summer Sandals

So glad it's warm enough to wear sandals, finally! I tend to pick up cute sandals, but end up wearing my most comfortable and most neutral pair. Part of the reason is ease, but I really need to expand my shoe wardrobe and wear more of my sandals. I've discovered that although I love the look of heels and wedges, I really don't get enough wear out of them. So this summer, I'm thinking I might focus on wearing more of my current shoe collection. I do love these cute options, though! I'm so into bows these days so this pair is especially cute with the addition of stripes.  These would look cute with a bright yellow or hot pink sundress.  It also comes in pink and turquoise.

Perfect for all the floral sundresses, this sandal is a dressier version of a flip flop, but looks just as comfortable.  I love the texture of the floral center.

How cute would these sandals be with nautical outfits or
with a red striped dress for the 4th of July?
I love yellow and orange with a bright blue, too. Maybe in a printed fabric since the shoes are on the simpler side.

One of my favorite combinations this year is leopard paired with a bright color. These sandals would look cute with a neutral dress in an off-white eyelet fabric or denim cutoff shorts with a lacy tank top. Since leopard print is so bold, I like to keep it to small doses and focused in only one element of the outfit.
