In Disney Paradise

Skirt: JCPenney
Top: Wet Seal, old

We loved the Aulani and the lagoons. My kids still love seeing characters so we were happy they had some meet and greets with Mickey, Minnie and Donald.

Southwest Blue

Shirt: Marshalls $7
Jeans: old
Geode Necklace: c/o ShopLately

I love the colors and print of this shirt and stalked it for awhile until it reached my
budget threshold price. It was worth it at this price point and I wanted to make sure I didn't lose out on it.

Printed Pink Peplum

Shirt: Forever 21
Skinnies: Sears, $11 with rewards
Necklace: Stella & Dot Fiona, email me to order
Belt: Forever 21

I bought this shirt to wear with my big green Baublebar necklace, but it didn't quite work.
I love the Fiona necklace with it though and the pop of yellow in the belt.
This shirt was really inexpensive which was the best way to try out the peplum trend. I like the look, but I don't like the having an elasticized middle. I felt like I was continually pulling the shirt down and having to readjust all the time is not my idea of a successful outfit.
I should have known because I have a dropped waist peasant shirt that has the same type
of gathering and that too,  is a pain to wear. Hopefully, I'll remember this before I buy something else I find on super clearance.

It's all in the Details

Shirt: Arden B, $5
Skinnies: Sears $11 with $4 rewards email
Necklace: c/o ShopLately

I'm really into finding special ethnic details in clothing and this shirt from Arden B is exactly the type of piece that I want to add to my closet. Since the shirt is so plain around the neckline, it needed something extra and my ShopLately necklace was perfect. This is why I love statement necklaces, it was THE finishing touch that the outfit needed.

Red Ikat

Shirt: Target, last year
Skirt: gifted, old
Wedges: Kohls, $20, last year
Tote: Stella & Dot Red Ikat How Does She Do It tote, email me to order

I love the print on this tote so I kept the outfit simple.  I'm getting so much use out of my new Stella & Dot totes, so much better than my boring black and brown work bags.

Floral Mint + Giveaway!

Tank: Daily Look $4.95 shipped using my $10 credit, sign up and get your credit too!
Pants: Bongo, Sears $11, on sale using $4 rewards credits
Purse: Target $7

Earrings: c/o Flirt Earrings via ShopLately

Loving everything about my outfit today. I've been on the hunt for white skinnies so I'm happy to have found these at such a good price. Sears keeps giving me money to shop as a Shop your Way rewards member. I had $4 to spend and was so happy to find these skinnies. Usually I'll try to find the most inexpensive item, but it was even better to get a good price on something that has been on my buy list.

Add in the mint floral tank, rose gold purse plus my pretty lacy earrings and I'm happy!
I'm making one of you happy as well because you have a chance to win 3 pairs of earrings from Flirt Earrings! I love how feminine, dainty and weightless they are! They come in soo many colors, I had a hard time choosing. I knew I wanted the white because it looked like lace and then chose the watermelon color for  a pop of pink.

      Happy 4th!

      Dress: H&M $3
      Purse: Zatchels, won on Twitter

Happy 4th of July! Spent the morning along the water with my fave breakfast, a donut and coffee :) The rest of our day may be lunch out, a parade and fireworks.
Regardless, I'm just happy I'm off for the next 5 days..

      Blank Canvas

      Dress: TJMaxx
      Necklace: Target, old
      Belt: Old Navy
      Shoes: Payless

Love dresses that are a blank canvas. I went neutral/ natural this time and I'll probably post more outfits with this dress over time. It's one of my favorite dresses because it's comfortable and has a pattern and sheen that makes it a little more special than the average dress.

      Scarf: $4 Gymboree
      Shoes: Payless $5

Taking part in #StyleMeMay again for their "put a scarf on it" challenge.
I actually wore a navy cardi sweater over this, but I like the outfit way better without it and the pictures weren't worth posting.  Happy Cinco de Mayo!

      Bows, bows, bows!

      Dress: Ross
      Cardigan, Wet Seal $5
      Belt: Forever 21 $4

I love the full skirt of this dress even though my godfather insisted I was pregnant when I wore this dress! I love how girly this outfit, especially with the bow belt.  I <3 bows!

If it's not on my blog, I didn't wear it

      Plans: Work
      Skirt: Old Navy $2
      Shirt: Macy's
      Bracelet: Old Navy: 47 cents!
      Shoes: Payless $5

“I have an irrational fear of wasting a good outfit
      on an insignificant day.”

Found this quote on another blog and I used to agree completely. I have clothes that have been waiting in my closet for a LONG time, waiting for vacation or an occasion when I'd see my friends, waiting for something. So now, if I take a picture for my blog, maybe that'll be enough to get these clothes out of hibernation. There is such satisfaction in wearing my clothes!

I don't remember the cost of my shirt, but it's been in my closet forever. With the exception of my shirt, my total cost of my outfit is $7.47!  Not bad for clothes that all came from mall stores, not a thrift store.

I should have done a closeup of my $0.47 bracelet. Sooo cute. It has pearls on one side and some chains braided with blue striped ribbon on the other.  Love how accessories add that little detail that bring an outfit together.
