this time focusing on how to change it  up using 3 different pops of color.

 c/o Accessoria

Option 2: Pop of Pink via purse:

Verde

Shirt: old
Lace Skirt: Macy's, $13
Shoes: Target
Purse: Coach, gifted

Necklace: Lily Wang c/o ShopLately
(New members signing up through Facebook can save $5 by using my link!)

This outfit stemmed from the necklace. I had been eyeing this necklace for a while because it was so unique and I liked the clear grey tube beads.  It was the perfect necklace to pair with my lovely green lace skirt. I went full-on office professional with this top. I don't usually like collared shirts, because I feel like my neck is so covered up, but this one works because of the open neckline.

We took a trip lately to Hawaii so I brought everything tropical out of my closet. Here's the first outfit. Loving rompers this year and this was the perfect print.

Love this Mix

Shirt: Old Navy
Skirt: old
Purse: Coach, vintage

(New members signing up through Facebook can save $5 by using my link!)

I started this outfit with the necklace and I love how the lime colored stripes are unexpected. The necklace pops on this shirt and the sequins adds to the sparkle.

Bow-tique

Dress: c/o Eshakti
Purse: Kate Spade
Belt: Forever 21
Bow bangle: H&M
Bow earrings: ShopLately

I wore bows all around to because of the cute bow design of this dress. Even though I already had a chambray dress, I loved the bow cut-out and chose this fabric for its versatility. This is my first dress from Eshakti and it was custom made for my measurements.  I love the option of changing the design to your specifications and for this custom order, I asked for an "at-knee" length. It turned out to fit well and is very comfortable, but I added the belt for color and to cinch in my waist a bit.

Congrats to Nicole M. for the Charmedseed Jewelry giveaway! I'll be emailing you and you'll have 48 hours to respond before I choose another winner.

Stripe-ity Stripe

Dress: Aeropostale
Tote: Burlington Coat Factory: $5
Bracelet: gifted from daughter
Flip Flops: Payless, old

Love easy, comfortable, sundresses like this. The empire waist keeps it flattering and the loose fit on the dress camouflages perfectly.

Baring Sea

Shirt: Forever 21, BOGO clearance buy, around $3-$5

Stella & Dot Serenity Necklace

I don't think I've worn an asymmetrical neckline on my blog before.
I don't even know if I've worn this style ever, but one thing I know for sure:
the Serenity necklace is so versatile.
It makes everything look good and summery and organic. Love it!

Living the Green

Dress: Living the Green Dress c/o A'muse Me Boutique
Purse: Ross
Shoes: Ross $14

Bracelet: Cents of Style, won via giveaway

Belt: free with Living the Green dress

Earrings: Forever 21 $2

Necklace: Stella & Dot On the Mark, email me to order

My love for ikat and tribal prints continues with this dress. Liking this print in green!
It's the perfect spring dress because of the longer tabbed sleeves and lightweight feel.
I realized after that I extended the chevron print in my bracelet, necklace and purse.

I tend to wear the same neutral shoes and purses often so I thought I'd change it up this time and hopefully use more things from my closet. I'm also on the hunt to light neutral flats or micro wedges to replace my linen work wedges. I wish I could wear higher wedges, but I do too much walking for my job and at my lunch break. I probably should just keep some flats in my car, but it's just one more thing to keep track of.

The winner of the Flirt Earrings giveaway is Cunning Angel.
I will be emailing youand you'll have 48 hours to respond before I choose another winner.

Thank you to A'muse Me Boutique for providing this dress to me. All opinions are my own.

Third times a charm!

Shirt: gifted in 6th grade :)
Cardigan: Target
Skirt: Forever 21: $2?
Bag: Target $15
Boots: Mervyns
Necklace: Christina M. Boutique, won in giveaway

Bamboo Bracelet: Julep from my Stella & Dot website $19
Chain bracelet: Forever 21
Blue Bangle: Emerson from my Stella & Dot website

Outfit faves:
1) Gold satchel: I really tried to pass on this satchel, because it would be my 3rd in this style and my third gold purse. I actually did leave it on the shelf for  a couple of visits to Target, but after I bought a smaller mint version, I realized that I really wanted this one so I traded it in.
2) Forest green skirt: I was loving this color around Christmastime so I was happy to find it on BOGO clearance!
3) The Julep!

Date Night

Dress: Forever 21 <$25
Shoes: Marshalls $10
Clutch: bought on cruise, $10

Date Night in the city with mr.shopfreak? Yes, please! Love any chance to get all dressed up! I wanted to wear my Stella & Dot green Serenity Drop Earrings so I built my outfit around it. To showcase my earrings even more, I wore my hair up in a side bun using these spiral clips that my co-worker told me about.

The event was a fundraiser for SF Performances at the City Club. I remember hearing about this venue when we were planning our wedding, but I had no idea how pretty it was. I was even more excited to find the Diego Rivera fresco as we moved to the dinner room.
Good music, good food, great night.

Preppy Green

Shirt: Gap, old
Belt: thrifted
Shorts: old
Bag: Burlington Coat Factory, $5
Shoes: Payless

Started with the bag and chose the shorts to match. I initially had another belt on, but changed to this madras fabric belt because of the darker colors.

Trip Packing

Dress: Old Navy $2.50
Purse: TJMaxx, $40
Flip Flops: Payless

This was the first day of our trip to Southern California to end our summer. We usually plan vacation to coincide with our wedding anniversary and mr. shopfreak's birthday, but this time, the kids were going back to school early. I usually have a hard enough time packing for a trip, but now even more planning (and indecision) is involved. I take into consideration:
1) weather 2) activity and now: 3) outfits that have not been blogged. I'm all about different backgrounds for my outfit pics so vacations are the perfect time to bring out outfits that haven't been photographed.

So this wonderful background is the Peet's Coffee in Valencia.
Sometimes a picture is better than none at all.
I promise, the next few backgrounds will be better :)
