Loving the sunny weather we had on this day. Perfect for a stroll in our outdoor mall and for some new scenery for my outfit shot. We watched the Lorax and mr. shopfreak fell asleep for half of it :) I have to go reread the original story and add it to our collection. Besides a love for his books, I have an affinity for Dr. Seuss because he donated to my alma mater, UCSD! My favorite library on campus was named after him during my last year in college.

I'm on Pinterest!

For awhile now, my favorite place has been Pinterest. I never said it out loud, but I did think that it would be sooo lovely to see something from my blog on there. 

I just happened to be on Pinterest tonight and found that Zatchels had pinned my red purse post! (ok, ok, I did a search for myself, but still!)  If that wasn't enough, when I clicked on the pic, it linked to more pins from my blog!  So exciting!

The inspiration piece in this outfit was the polka dot belt. I just bought a hot pink belt recently, but couldn't pass up this version with some blue polka dots. 

It's so happy and brightens up boring winter days.

Loving pink in all its shades so I was excited to this piece that pairs both pink and stripes.

The shoulders on this shirt have silver buttons (that I forgot to take a pic of) and I just figured out that I could wear it backwards to show the chevron pattern instead.

I thought I wouldn't find taupe colors boots to replace my worn down favorite ones so I was so excited to find these leather ones at Ross. I found these awhile back and as always, they were in limbo in case I could find better/cheaper ones. Finally busted them out and was happy to find out they were more comfortable than expected. I love flat boots and shoes in general, so much better for all the walking I do during work and on my lunch breaks.

Ever since I saw satchel bags on fashion blogs, I have been wanting one! I love the shape and the price for a leather purse. I was so excited when I won this Zatchels bag through a twitter giveaway. It took a lot of emails and waiting to finally receive the bag, but it was well worth the wait. It took a long time partly because it was made to order! 

I especially loved that I received a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the staff who made my bag by hand!

I usually take my pics before I'm fully ready so I don't always get the full outfit with the jacket and the purse.  My sweater was gifted from my sister in law. I love visiting my in-laws because the ladies are shopoholics and bargain shoppers like me. We usually go to the outlets or the mall at least once during the visit and sometimes I'll come home with cute gifts like this sweater :)

I wore this outfit for Christmas, but didn't get to take a picture until February. Since I have too many pics, it's taken this long to post it. I love the fullness of the skirt and you can't beat the price. Old Navy practically gives clothing away!

Minty March

Thought I'd check out some minty inspiration for the color of the season. Maybe just 

a smidgen of this shade of green, with black or white....still not sure. 

At least it would work for St. Patrick's Day too...

So happy to have a sunny, warm day in the middle of the winter! A perfect day for my new scarf from LANY Couture :) I love that it is lightweight, orange and striped (of course :)).

 It's soft and feels more like cotton even though the description says it's polyester. The only drawback is that the edges look a little unfinished because they are a straight-edged cut. It doesn't bother me because I can fold the edges under, 

but I was surprised to find that it wasn't sewn.

I dressed up today with only one thing in mind: to highlight my newest creation! When we go to visit family, we always have lots of hanging out time,  perfect for crocheting!  I wanted to make something in mustard yellow and since I only know this one design, I usually can't predict how long its going to be.  It turned out to be the perfect length, the perfect color, has the perfect buttons, I couldn't be happier!
