When I was on vacation in Hawaii, back in high school, I remember over-hearing how a fellow traveler buys herself some jewelry as her souvenir whenever she goes on vacation.  I thought it was a great idea, but knew I would probably tailor it to my deal-seeking outlook. On our first few vacations, mr. shopfreak and I brought back some tribal art for our home, but we kinda forgot about that tradition after awhile. 

On our last big vacation to Mexico, I brought this skirt back. So it's not entirely something that I wouldn't find here, but I love that it brings me back to that vacation 

whenever I wear it.

I'm not  a big colorblocking person, but I guess I have my moments. I probably wouldn't buy anything colorblocked because it limits your options, though. 

Unless it's a neutral, so I guess there is always exceptions to the rule.

Yay! I'm so excited to find out that I won the Spring Dress Giveway on the nicole by Nicole Miller blog. I sent in a submission of "spring style" with this outfit and won this cute dress! I really love the colors, it's so bright and cheery! It's the perfect comfy summer dress, very caftan-like! Thank you nicole by Nicole Miller!

I was soo excited last year when one of my Victoria's Secret rewards cards turned out to have $100 on it. I love when VS does this promotion when you buy $10 at their store. I usually buy gifts for my daughter's friends and for the teenagers on my Christmas list. It's a win-win for all of us. They get something they'd want and 

I get a little shopping spree of my own. 

This year I was lucky enough again to win another $100 rewards card! So I'm currently strategizing my online purchase to order some clothing. I would much rather use the money on something that everyone can see instead of bras and underwear. 

I can't even believe how lucky I've been recently with this and other giveaways. 

I'm never win anything so I guess my luck is changing!

My BFF was crushing on this dress, so I tried it on to see what the fuss was about. She was so right! I love the neckline, the puffy sleeves and the shiny tweed fabric! I'm already  a fan of JLo style and hair, so I guess I'll have to add this dress to list too! 

Since my BFF lives in SD, we end up buying some of the same clothing since we don't have to worry about showing up to an event as twins. I've been her personal shopper for awhile now and I love shopping and spending her money :)
