I've had this shirt in my closet for a while and the fabric was so light that after one wear, it was coming apart at the empire waist. I've had it in my "fix-it" pile and finally got around to sewing it. It was such an easy fix, I could have been wearing it so much earlier. 

I love the tribal print and I added a much needed pop of color with my necklace. 

Dressing the Part

Still can't get enough of this necklace. For some reason, it was not love at first sight. 

As I would see more and more outfits with the necklace, I had to have it. 

I'm a big pink and orange person so I'm so surprised I didn't want it sooner.

This outfit started with the dress and I added the belt for needed color. I had plans to wear the hat all day (except for driving), but I forgot about it and only really wore it for the pic. 

I should have done a detail pic to show how cute it is with the stripes and gold band around the top. I was just looking at a sun hat again today at TJ Maxx, even though I have more than enough. It reminds me of vacation and the beach so I am drawn to them...

I'm a purse lover and I was soo excited to find this one at Marshall's recently. This store is close to my work so I probably have a weekly lunch break there. I'm in there so much that I feel like the employees must notice, but shopping so often is how I find the good stuff! 

Love the shape of this purse..it's a bigger version 

of my mom's coveted Louis Vuitton purse. 

I started this outfit with the dress and then after deciding on using this purse, 

I built the accessories around it. I wore this for my daughter's middle school promotion. She wore a royal blue dress with white shoes and I thought it was kinda cheesy that I matched her, but I was already dressed and committed to using my new purse :)

Good thing I'm a boho, tribal kinda girl because I'll always love all these ethnic prints I've been picking up lately. How pretty is the Avalon necklace? I love the intricate laser cuts with the detailed beading. I picked up the southwest style in the shirt and wore my new favorite work flats for the first time.
