This is one of those necklaces that looks so much better on and in person than any catalog picture. It's my new favorite and I love how it looks with mustard yellow. My new statement necklaces are for sure going to my winter wardrobe way more exciting.

The Flying Pegasus

Dress: Old Navy
Boots: Fashion Bug

This is my most favorite statement necklace ever from Stella & Dot and why I continued to follow their product line. It's so unique and I'm so glad I decided to get it when I signed up as a stylist. It's also much more versatile that I thought it would be.  I wore this purple dress to highlight the necklace and got so many compliments at work.
Long live the pegasus!

Grecian

Dress; Marshalls $15
Necklace: c/o ShopLately
Off White bangle: free, Baublebar rewards program
Purse: JCPenney
Wedges: Kohls $20

My inspiration for this outfit was my grecian necklace. I love the look of the leaves and how it pairs so nicely with the purple and my bracelets. I wore this dress also to celebrate my anniversary with mr. shopfreak.

Nerd Wear

Sweater: Target $5 2011
Jeans: Target, free with coupon
Boots: Mervyns, therefore old! $10
Glasses: c/o Firmoo
Necklace: Gold Stella & Dot On the Mark (Available in Silver

I received my new glasses today so I wanted to go nerdy. I really only need to wear glasses when I drive at night so I don't usually wear glasses in my outfit pics.

Firmoo contacted me to try out their website and offered any pair of glasses to review.
I loved being able to upload a picture and "try out" the glasses first. I was able to find 8 frames that I liked and took a very unscientific survey within my household
to pick the winner.

I chose these brown frames based solely on how my uploaded picture looked.  Then all I had to do was add in my prescription information. I was a little hesistant to order glasses online, but the glasses look exactly how they look on my uploaded photo. If you'd like to try it out yourself, Firmoo offers the first pair of glasses for free!
You just have to pay for shipping.

Here's a pic of how my glasses arrived. It included a hard shell case, a drawstring bag, eyeglass cloth, a mini screwdriver and 2 screws.

Thanks Firmoo!

Coral Capri

Cardi: old
Tank: Target
Skirt: H&M $7
Belt: Rue21 $2

Planned this outfit around my earrings, I love the style and gradient colors.
I picked up the orange/coral through my flirty skirt.
The silhouette of a full short skirt is so cute and girly.  Love!

Date Night

Dress: Forever 21 <$25
Shoes: Marshalls $10
Clutch: bought on cruise, $10

Date Night in the city with mr.shopfreak? Yes, please! Love any chance to get all dressed up! I wanted to wear my Stella & Dot green Serenity Drop Earrings so I built my outfit around it. To showcase my earrings even more, I wore my hair up in a side bun using these spiral clips that my co-worker told me about.

The event was a fundraiser for SF Performances at the City Club. I remember hearing about this venue when we were planning our wedding, but I had no idea how pretty it was. I was even more excited to find the Diego Rivera fresco as we moved to the dinner room.
Good music, good food, great night.

Fave shopping time: Forever 21 BOGO!

Dress: Forever 21 $3.50
Necklace: c/o ShopLately
Orange Bracelet: Stella & Dot Lindsay

I'm getting so much use of this necklace, I love it! Another comfy striped t-shirt dress from  the Forever 21 BOGO (buy one get one free sale). I cannot resist those sales! My store seems to bring out more and more stuff so I always have to check back to see what's new. I try to remember to hold out from buying anything there because I've found almost everything that I want will end up on the sale rack.

(Thanks for pinning me, ShopLately!)

Online Shop Review: Century 21

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of CENTURY 21. All opinions are 100% mine.

Century_21_depart_red_on_white.jpg

When I was planning my trip to New York City back in college, my shopping list included a visit to Century 21, but we were so busy that week that we didn't have time to shop there. :( So glad that I just recently came across the  Century 21 website and found lots of cute products at great prices! Check these out:

Love this striped peplum top! It would look so cute layered with a blazer.  ($14.97)

Cute biker boots in Taupe! I'm in need of more flat boots and you can't beat the $23.31 price.

Red quilted jacket ($24.97) So cute!

They also do designer flash sales in their StyleOn section for members. I sign up as a member for shopping sites, facebook pages and twitter feeds  to have access to discounts and exclusive sales. Just create an email address specifically for that purpose so it won't clog up your real email address :)

I'm hoping that one of these days I can visit their storefront in NYC (Downtown or Lincoln Square).  Maybe I'll win their Empire Hotel sweepstakes for a trip back to NYC and a $500 wardrobe. Doesn't hurt to enter..I've been really lucky lately so hopefully the luck continues!

Blazin'

Blazer: c/o eShakti (similar)
Shirt: old
Necklace: Kohls
Jeans: Target

I was so honored when eShakti contacted me to do a review and was even more excited when I was able to choose anything I wanted from the site. I would typically choose a dress over anything else, but I loved how this blazer looked on other bloggers. So smart that they've linked to past blogger reviews because it makes such a difference seeing an item on someone other than a model or a dress form.  I'll have to suggest that they take their idea one step further and link the reviews to the product page.

My favorite feature at eShakti is the option to customize based on your measurements and preferences. I have a hard time ordering online, especially when there isn't a brick and mortar store to be able to return the item to. Since I was able to add in my measurements to my order, there were no worries. It fit me perfectly!

Election Day

Dress: Old Navy

I thought I'd go blue in honor of Election Day. We took our girls to see voting in action so we all got to sport "I Voted" stickers afterwards. I love how many polling places are offering "I Voted" stickers in different languages!

A Very Minnie Halloween

Shirt: old
Skirt: c/o OASAP

Shoes: Payless
Ears, ring, bracelet: Disney
Pearl bracelet: JCPenney, old

I got to wear this Minnie outfit on Halloween and this past weekend at
a Disney themed birthday party.
Our family loves putting together costumes from what we already have so we
get a lot of use out of our costumes in our house.

Trumpet Skirts

Top:Target
Skirt: old
Bracelets: Claires $1 each
Earrings: Probably Claires too :)

I wore this skirt a few days before reading that trumpet skirts were back in fashion for Fall.
I'm just ahead of my time! (More like, I hold on to stuff so long that they eventually come back in fashion :) I think this is still a pretty classic shape, though and
I'll continue to wear it...who cares what Vogue says!

I like to look at Vogue and Bazaar, but I just can't get into designer pricing. This is why I'll always be a People Stylewatch subscriber. It's the only magazine I'll "pay" full price for even
though I'm actually using my Amazon credits that I earn for free on Swagbucks.
