I'm loving the faux leather sleeved/olive jacket look that has been trendy the past two  years, but since I had an olive utility vest, I figured I could recreate the look with black sleeves. I had initially tried this outfit with a purple maxi skirt, but it looked too casual so I switched it out for the olive cargo pants and it has the same feel of the jacket I'd been coveting. Will it take the place of the jacket? Maybe. At least for now, unless I find it for super clearance and I have a credit or coupon that I have to use :)

Chevron Remix

So I was feeling so over anything chevron and didn't think I'd be wearing this tunic again because it felt too trendy. I wasn't happy with the open mandarin collar, but by remixing this top with the red scarf, it looks so much better. Because it's long, it's perfect to wear with leggings and it's a good basic for the winter with different scarves. 

Just goes to show that you just can't give up on your clothes :)

Love this printed shirt from H& M, it was probably the first thing I bought from them. 

Loving how the turquoise necklace makes the outfit more colorful.

I had been admiring Ace Commune's jewelry and was so excited when they had told me to watch my mail. This pretty necklace was a fun surprise and I love how the black and white beads create stripes. Since I am addicted to stripes, I played that up in my outfit choice. I also brought in the blue and yellow through the rest of the look. This whole outfit was inspired by the necklace and I love how outfit inspiration can come from anywhere, 

even from the smallest of details. 

I may not have put this outfit together without it so I'm also happy to be remixing this look from my existing wardrobe. Be sure to check out the rest of Ace Commune's line: loving the simple, beachy and boho quality, especially all the tasseled pieces.

Took out this old jacket to document it, love the unique collar. When I bought it, it was probably around $14 and not even on sale. Such a good price!

Agate necklace: Ewelina Pas

I can't get enough of layered necklaces and I think these two look perfect together. I had seen a similar look on Pinterest, so when I found the light purple agate necklace I was so excited! The rough cut of the agate is so organic, natural and boho. I love the layers of colors along the top and now I want more Ewelina Pas agate necklaces. 

The stones she finds are so vibrant! 

The arrowhead necklace is a good versatile piece to layer with other necklaces in the future as well.  I was able to customize the length of each chain so I took some time trying to decide how I wanted to layer each necklace, and I think it turned out perfectly. 

Seeing it in the picture, I also love how the chains match. 

I had taken a close up picture of me too, but my camera has seen better days. More and more, the pictures are becoming more blurry. Partly due to the age of the camera and partly due to lack of patience of my camera-women. A new camera may be in order or maybe just a permanent tripod set up...we'll see...
