Falling for Animal Print

Even though I'm a summer girl,  I'm looking forward to Fall again this year so I can get more use out of my warm wardrobe. I'm hoping to post more outfits with the layered look of sweaters, skirts, tights, leggings and boots. It's not quite cold enough for a full layered outfit right now, but here are a couple of animal print inspired Fall looks.                                                 I am still addicted to animal print!

I love the "deep burgundy" opaque tights they sent since it is the color of the season. 

Since it's such a bold color, I wanted to highlight it with a palette of just black and white. The tights were light, but still opaque and so comfortable. 

Need to go get some more colors!

Homeward Bound

Driving home was quick, even from Carlsbad. Surprisingly, I actually drove 3 hours of the ride myself. I'm lucky to have a husband who does 99% of the driving, wherever we are.

I'm just a princess like that. 

Beach Towns

My favorite part of Southern California is most definitely the beach. I just love the view and the feeling of being on vacation. We walked around Carlsbad Village after spending a day on the beach further south. I love spending time in beach towns, having clam chowder and fried calamari. Hopefully one day, I'll live by the beach again...

Zebra was big in our house this summer: 

1) We had a safari party and used this print as a main feature. 

I wore this dress during the party, but it didn't look nearly as cute because 

I forgot all about the necklace :(

2) My daughter's favorite cartoon character is Peppa Pig 

who pronounces it "Zeh-bra". 

3) Inspired the name of the newest stuffed animal: Chubby Zehbra or Zebby, for short

This outfit was put together from the bottom up. I stalked this LC dress for so long so I was so excited to find it for only $6. Kohl's clearance is the best!
